Asia Will Become the New Center of the Internet Broadband News and Analysis
Asia Will Become the New Center of the Internet Broadband News and Analysis: "Internet traffic will grow seven-fold between 2010 and 2015 to reach roughly 1.2 zettabytes globally, and by 2015 video will comprise half of the traffic on the web according to a new report from analyst firm Informa Telecoms & Media. This prediction expects more traffic in general and less video traffic than the other big forecast for web traffic offered by Cisco. Perhaps that’s because Informa isn’t trying to sell gear to service providers. But it may just be the first of several reductions for video traffic coming down the pike, as Cisco’s own data on this is expected out within a few weeks."

Bin Laden killing: Whither objective journalism? – The Express Tribune Blog: "I remember the general reaction in the newsroom the day the news of the operation that killed Osama bin Laden broke. There was relief, felicitations of ‘Mubarak ho!’ and the excitement of covering what was perhaps one of the biggest stories of the year.
Throughout the day, and the days following the incident, I noted people’s reactions. While some openly celebrated the news, others quietly welcomed the news with relief, adding however that it was against their principles to celebrate death."

Indian journalist uses Twitter to get Pakistani visa | Pakistan Today | Latest news, Breaking news, Pakistan News, World news, business, sport and multimedia: "Renowned Indian TV anchor and Group Editor of English News at NDTV, Barkha Dutt used a unique strategy on social networking site Twitter to get a Pakistani visa to cover the crucial happenings in Pakistan after the Abbottabad operation in which al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was killed. She constantly tweeted and requested Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik to get her the visa.
Malik’s quick response resulted in a great triumph for the Indian journalist, as now she has started broadcasting a live programme from Islamabad. It all started on May 3, when she criticised Pakistan’s visa policy by tweeting, “Sadly no visas for Indian journalists looking to report this story from on the ground :( goodnight all”. On the same day, Barkha approached Malik on Twitter by saying “@SenRehmanMalik sir, how about allowing us visas to report the happenings in Pakistan. Only Indian journalists not permitted sadly.”"

Bollywood boys on Twitter - General news
Bollywood boys on Twitter - General news: "Its high time you let go off the gossip papers and tune to Twitter to hear it personally from the stars. The Bollywood stars sprinkled a little magic on twitter in India, lighted its torch and handed it over to their fans who were more than happy to take it forward. The potential growth predicted for the micro-blogging site among the Bollywood fan base is exceptionally huge as the film industry caters to an audience close to 2 billion people and the percentage of people connecting with the starts is very small today. As the celebrities know it very well that twitter works in their favor to effectively advertise themselves and their films, tweeting become a daily routine for the stars."
